Meet The Founder
Derma Organics was not created from trends or theory—it was built from lived experience with chronic skin conditions.
I’m Adaaku Iwuajoku, and for most of my life, I dealt with conditions that affected not just my skin but my confidence, identity, and daily comfort. From as early as age 5, I struggled with atopic eczema, later developing topical steroid withdrawal (TSW), seborrheic dermatitis, keratosis pilaris, and hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) affecting my scalp, underarms, groin, and body.
These weren’t occasional flare-ups. They were chronic, persistent conditions that required constant management.
Like many others, I was placed on steroid creams early on. They offered temporary relief—but over time, my skin became dependent. When I stopped using them, my eczema returned more aggressively, and I began to see the long-term effects, including skin thinning and uneven pigmentation.
That cycle forced me to start asking deeper questions.
My Skincare Experience
Growing up in Nigeria’s hot, humid climate only intensified my symptoms. With limited guidance at the time, I often aggravated my skin without realizing it, leading to lasting scarring.
My parents tried everything to help me. At one point, they shaved my head to manage scalp infections and allow my skin to breathe. My mother introduced traditional remedies—herbs, African black soap, and natural treatments. I didn’t appreciate it then, but those early experiences exposed me to what I now understand as foundational healing methods.
By the age of 9, when I started boarding school, things became even more challenging. Hard water, unfamiliar environments, and being one of the few Black girls meant constantly explaining and defending my skin—something that deeply affected my self-confidence during formative years.
Learning to Formulate Solutions
Even before I fully understood what I was doing, I was already experimenting.
I started mixing my own products—combining shea butter with steroid creams to reduce their harsh effects.
That alone showed I had instinctive knowledge, even if I hadn’t yet realized its full potential. Over time, that curiosity became intentional.
I began working with herbal infusions, natural butters, oils, and active ingredients—not just to moisturize, but to address the root causes of inflammation, irritation, and imbalance.
I wasn’t looking for temporary relief anymore. I was looking for long-term solutions.
Healing From The Inside Out
As I grew older, I took a more holistic approach—combining internal healing with targeted topical care.
Through consistency, research, and formulation, I was able to bring my flare-ups under control, strengthen my skin barrier, and restore my skin’s overall health.
Today, my skin is completely different from what it was growing up.
And that transformation is what fuels everything behind Derma Organics.
Derma Organics Was Built Differently
How it Started
I didn’t start with a lab or investors.
I started in my kitchen—with a bowl, a spoon, and ingredients I trusted.
Every formula was first created to solve my own conditions, then refined to help others experiencing the same challenges.

A Legacy Rebuilt
In 1992, the year I was born, my father registered a beauty and pharmaceutical company—CosmeticFair Beauty Products—but never pursued it.
Years later, without knowing this, I built Derma Organics from the ground up.
When he saw my dedication, business acumen, and passion, he merged his company with mine—creating Derma Organics by CFBP Ltd.
Why This Matters
If a brand like Derma Organics existed when I was younger, my journey would have looked verydifferent.
That’s why this brand exists today.
To show that chronic skin conditions can be managed, skin can recover, and confidence can be restored.
